Grand Piano Covers

Quilted covers are manufactured of high quality black nylon with a soft, snag-proof polypropylene backing for safe contact with the piano finish. They provide the ultimate dust and scratch protection plus padding from mild blows to the instrument.

Mackintosh covers, available in black or brown, are manufactured of cotton drill cloth laminated to a flannel underside for soft contact with the instrument finish. They provide economical dust and scratch protection.

Moisture resistant Vinyl covers are also available in black or brown, with laminated soft, cotton cloth backing. They are best suited to environments where liquids may endanger the piano such as church halls, multi-purpose room, banquet halls, restaurants, etc. Call for Vinyl prices.

When ordering, provide the brand of your piano and its length in inches. Please observe the measuring instructions found below. Provide the model, if known, as we may have a pattern that will provide a custom fit for your model piano. Specify the fabric and color desired.

Measuring Instructions for Stock Grand Piano Covers

In order to determine the cover that will best fit your grand piano, simply measure the instrument from the back end of the piano top to the outer edge of the key strip (which is in front of the keys) as indicated in the diagram to the right.

Tip: Have two persons use a tape measure and a straight rule, such as a yardstick. Run the tape measure underneath the piano from front to back. Use the straight rule to intersect the back edge of the piano top perpendicularly down to the tape measure in order to determine the piano's length.

Also, please specify the Brand Name and Model of your piano when placing your order. We may have a pattern that we can use to provide a custom-fitting cover at no additional charge!

Special Measuring Instructions for Custom Grand Piano Covers

Covers can be made to fit specific instruments when exact measurements are furnished. Provide the A thru E dimensions shown to the right. For a perfect fit for the top of the piano, create a large drawing surface (a bed sheet, or plastic painters drop cloth, or tape together several sheets of paper), drape it over the piano top and trace a pattern around the entire top - the extreme outside dimensions. Also trace a pattern of the cheek (A) from under the top to the bottom of cheek. Contact Valiant Music Supply for assistance and prices.

Piano Fallboard Lock

Prevents unauthorized use of your piano. Easily installed, this keyboard lock will not mar a piano’s exposed finished surfaces. With a 6” opening (and a digital version coming with height adjustment spacers), the lock prohibits opening the fallboard of almost all pianos. Piano Fallboard Lock is virtually invisible when removed to play the piano.
